Headed back from the lease with the boys. It was great as usual but freaking hot, almost died of heat stroke when building a deer blind.
I was able to take down a boar with my boys jumping around in the backseat. He was their first pig and they handled the kill like champs …. Even helped me quarter him up. Great weekend all around

Side note after this kill, I did not see any pigs at the feeder all weekend and drove up to 6 deer at the feeder. Pigs are smart and hopefully they moved on
I also wonder if Dr. Hoke institutes such rigidity in his clinic

Ran into a guy last night and started talking about hunting. He was talking about the wounded worrier hunt on his lease. I asked if Mitch and Brad ran the place and he said yep. Didn't have much good things to say about the place except for the wounded worriers hunt.

Also- when I grabbed my bow this morning it was so cold it sent a chill through my body that, combined with nerves, I couldn't shake. So I went to Mumme's and got a roll of Vet Wrap. Seems like it's going to work in my brief testing tonight

The biologist only comes up with thr harvest criteria. The other rules come from the lease managers

I don't know the details nor do I want to know. All I know is that someone, either the land owner or the biologist, informed them they were not welcomed back.
