Don't even recall putting in for unit 20 as my 4th option, but apparently did and was successful drawing a September archery deer tag in Unit 20. Anyone have any experience hunting this unit?

I've got a buddy from NM and he says that unit holds some big bucks. Just wanting to get any intel I can to maximize my opportunity

No help but is that just north of Guadalupe Mountain NP?

Awesome, thank you. A guy I've hunted with before used to live in Truth Or Consequences and he also mentioned having seen some really good bucks on the east side of the Caballos over the years

Also if you want to do any fishing while you're up there the Rio Grande runs all through that unit from San Antonio NM on down.

If you get you get up to San Antonio NM green chili burgers at the Buckhorn Tavern & Owl Bar/Cafe are a must. Also for authentic Mexican/New Mexican food hit up San Antonio Crane cafe.

Also Hatch NM if you want some green chili's to bring home and stopping at Sparky's is also a must.

Any chance you could send me a pin to those areas through OnX? Trying to find them and have found Rock House Spring and Indian Springs but are both in Unit 19 to the east.

Found Bosque Del Apache to the north

I drew the same tag on the 4th option this year. Was curious if you had any luck in 2024? From what I can tell from OnX the whole west side along the river & the south end north of Las Cruces look the most promising.
