I am going to be investing in a scratch, sniff, and taste monitor because pictures of food do me no good.
Sometimes I even surprise myself. More disruption from Yucatan than I thought, but otherwise…. Y'all stay safe down along the coast and keep in mind that your neighbor's loose debris can kill you just as easily at 70 mph as it can at 100+ mph.txags92 said:
Right now, I am leaning towards the "stronger storm" models. The ECMWF has been showing the storm weaker than actual for about the last 2-3 days and according to Levi, there is a window before reaching the Yucatan where the shear is likely to relax and some restrengthening may occur. If the eye stays far enough south of Jamaica over the next few hours that the eyewall structures are not too disrupted, we are likely to see a Cat 2-3 approaching the Yucatan instead of the TS level storm forecast by the ECMWF. If that is the case, the stronger storm should continue to gain latitude and likely won't be significantly disrupted by the Yucatan, making the mid to upper coast models more likely IMO.
Yep. Direct hit. Coming right on top of me. Again.rab79 said:
Right now the NWS has it coming in at collegeport, if the trend of shifting east continues it will hit Sargent.
Animal8 will take it on the chin, except it should be a pretty weak storm as storms go. Of course 2003 Claudette might say hello.
Intensity down to 979-980mb now according to Recon. Thats 2-3 mb lower than only just 45 min ago.

Ok so pressure not fallen much but maybe 1mb so this hurricane in terms of pressure has basically in a sense fallen as much as it could. Still mostly 980mb.

So #Beryl likely will landfall as a 80mph hurricane with gusts ~115mph. So Cat 1 hurricane but gusts around Cat 3. https://t.co/ecUKv2IaSW pic.twitter.com/ISFcTJgez9
