Just recently showed up. Any ideas? I thought brown patch or take all but the grass is tight when I pull on it at both leaf and runner level. Plenty of water and full sun.

There used to be a tree in this location that we took out and ground down…we removed all the shavings as well.

Can you post a pic of a close up so we can see the leaf blades? I'm guessing gray leaf spot

I took some pics of blades I searched out in a really healthy green section though they were difficult to find w any spots and then the brown section (various angles due to the sun)

The first pic is gray leaf spot. Apply a granular fungicide like heritage or Scott's disease x. Reapply after 14 days. Don't apply fertilizer. Don't irrigate at night, only early morning. Wouldn't hurt to rake out (dethatch) area.

It's brand new sod…like 8 weeks old new

And bag the grass clippings

Looks dry. From poor soil under that area.

Apply DiseaseX and an insecticide..water a little more
