Install barrel. Hand tight bolts. Back them out slightly.

Lock back BCG. Hit slide release. Let it slam home. Then torque down two barrel bolts.

Using mine for a rifle class this sunday.

Headed to the lease Monday. This might push it to Tuesday so I can shoot it complete. Could easily throw it on another lower, but won't be as fun. Would love to kill a coyote or pig with it.

I need to take a few classes after I finish my Ironman this month and hopefully shoot my buck in October. I've only taken a pistol class and never a carbine.

That's going to be awesome. Love the triggers and proof barrels are super accurate.

How you like the Unity FAST riser? I went from lower 1/3 mount to 1.93" Reptilia mounts on a couple rifles/pistols and they have been a neck saver. I have some herniation in my neck and shooting more straight up has helped a ton with after range pain in my neck.

It is new to me. So far so good. I like the height. It's great that it has a built in back up iron sight. I haven't shot from the irons yet. Not sure how useful it would be yet. Positive that it is elevated over an aiming laser.

Used my 12" lmt in a rifle class this weekend.

The combination of vented end cap on the cgs sci six can and cheap m193 55gr actually gave me a couple malfunctions. Had to change the gas from the suppressed setting over to the normal. No gas to the face or issues that way, ran like a top for the rest of class.

Hadnt had any issues testing/zeroing for class, but things always go wrong when you least want to have issues.

Still very happy with the rifle. Like OP, it will probably be my go to pick for 5.55 moving forward.

Not bad! Sighted it in with some Hornady VMAX at 50 yards group of 5 all touching. Then shot a mag dump fairly quickly of bulk 55 grain fmj that are not normally accurate at all. LMT are it up and the first rifle I own that grouped it fairly well! Nothing scientific but definitely satisfied.

"technically" an SBR/pistol question (until pin and weld) - What do y'all think of the 14.5" barrels? Thinking of building one with a Griffin taper mount P&W'd.

Not sure how much weight I could shave losing basically the 1" of barrel and couple inches shorter handguard. My 16" barrel with 15" handguard is feeling a little "long" these days!

Suppressed you definitely save some space. If it's a muzzle device you can see yourself using and compatible with your suppressor, I am all for it. Saving 1.5 inches some how feels like a lot more.

16" plus 6-7" suppressor can feel like a boat paddle in tight spaces. Saving a couple inches helps.

Keeping this question in this thread even though it's a DI question.

What is everyone's thoughts on adjustable gas blocks for DI? Another failure point or worth it vs. finding correct spring/buffer combo? I'v building a 14.5" so will be married to the gas block once muzzle is P&W.

Superlative arms bleed off is in my cart.

I have used one on my AR10. It worked well. I have never run it hard, so can't speak to that. I liked it.
