I love Kuhl. They are my go to for hiking, travel, and work. I wish they made more in 36" length.

For ranch work, I wear Duluth. They're comfortable, tough, and reasonably priced.

So what's a good sale price on the Duluth pants? I'm seeing $75 right now on their "30% off everything, price as marked" sale, with one day left. I'm not in dire need, just want to try a pair based on you guys' recommendation. Maybe I'll switch.

My preferred color is not available in my size right now. There are other colors I would be almost as happy with... is this sale price a "jump on it" deal, or maybe I should wait until the next go-round and get the desert khaki color I really want?

I ended up getting 25% plus another 20% off when I bought my Duluth pants. They have decent sales if you can wait

I use these for everything. They make a style that is not a cargo pant. Wear brown ones to the office to pass for Khakis. Ride horses in them, go hiking, etc.

The ones that I am referencing are Magellan Outdoors Men's Heritage 5-Pocket Flex Pant. $29.99.

Those are like 90% polyester, 10% spandex. I know the "new sport fabrics" supposedly wick moisture and breathe, but do these really NOT get hot, as compared to cotton?

The Magellan are almost all cotton with some spandex for flex.

Spandex is hot, polyester is breathable which is why they mix them to get the best of both worlds.

Do they stretch? I can't stand stretchy jeans. Makes me feel vulnerable for some reason.
