Growing up my Dad use to say, Son you need to learn Spanish so we can hunt Mexico one day. Well I never learned Spanish, but Dammit I hunted Mexico this year.

I got the opportunity to join a Mexico hunting lease outside Acuna with some buddies. My 4th trip crossing this year after passing a dozen solid bucks I'd be proud of to shoot in Texas… I found what I was looking for!

My best man, Nick and I were sitting in the stand when he came out at last light walking down a valley. It was one of those, O F''' bucks that hunters dream about. From the time of seeing him, to shooting him was seconds.

I have not shook and got fired up like this over a deer with a rifle in a long time. Great season with great guys.

Old school deer hunting on a very remote 32,000 acre low fence ranch, deer has never seen a protein pellet. I think he was 7 plus years old. I am super happy with him.
