The guides cook lunch stream side, the best we've ever had. The also serve soft drinks, beer, and wine during lunch. The wine is exceptional.

Another windy, brutal day today. We fished on Lago Numero 5. I had a hookup with a nice, +/- 23" brown but it jumped out of the water and spit out my fly. Tomorrow will be a spring creek. Hoping for a better day.

Federales checking Melissa's fishing license. They saw the photo on mine and said, "El Guapo!"

I'm not going to lie, fishing has been tough this week. It's been windy as hell until today, our last day before heading to Buenos Aires.

But with the pressure on, I rallied, catching a 20" brookie, a 22" rainbow and a 28" rainbow, my personal best. The guides at Patagonia River Guides here are top notch as is the lodge and its staff.

At Patagonia River Guides they give you a giant sticker if you land a fish over 25". Today was my official sticker ceremony ( they handed it to me as we were loading up to leave). Our guide friend Newe is holding Melissa Robertson Johnson's sticker for her fish.

I fished with them out of Trevalin and we fished a mix of public and private. They have access to private ranches with amazing water on them.

We should start a secret club. Oops, I spilled the frijoles.

We left Tres Valles Lodge yesterday and arrived in Buenos Aires where we'll be until Friday. We slept in until nearly noon after going hard all last week. Melissa's bag had been opened at the Esquel airport and her Patagonia puffy coat taken. Oh, well. The PRG folks are helping us to file a claim with Aerolineas Argentinas so we can show the travel insurance company we took all the appropriate steps before filing a claim.

We're taking it easy here, eating lots of parilla, doing some shopping and sightseeing. I'm going to buy a set of good steak knives mañana. I'll post a few pics but not nearly as exciting as fish pictures.

Here's a nice fish Melissa caught on her last day fishing.

We went to La Carniceria fir dinner tonight. We may have had the best steak we've ever eaten. It will be interesting to see how Don Julio's compares on Thursday night.

Today's food tour just got interesting.

It's our last night in Argentina and it's been an amazing trip. The fishing was incredible and BA has been fun too. Today we took a tour of Recoleta Cemetery.

Tonight we celebrated our last night in town by eating at Don Julio. The service was impeccable and the steak the best we've had here. I can see why it's rated the number one steakhouse in the world. If you're in BA make this place a priority. By the way, they should send every cook at steakhouses in the US to learn how to cook a steak medium rare.

We have tomorrow to fool around before catching our flight home at 10:25 tomorrow night. We will be back fishing again. This place is incredible.
