Been out of town the past couple weeks but finally got a game camera set up today and already have one on camera repairing what I tore out this afternoon. Will be setting traps this weekend

Cooler, I don't know where you are located but would love to grab a dead one from you. I'd like to clean up the skull on one.

I'm an hour north of htown

Happy to report that college of AG was able to pick up a beaver head and I got a jar of delicious honey out of it. Got two this week. I know there is at least one more out there.

So far it's two on mounds with musk and foot traps and one on a 330. Had a tripped 330 last night and a beaver on the camera so hoping to get a hit tonight.

Problem with beavers is just like most pest, killing them doesn't help much. Can you put in a standoff guard on the culvert? Hog panels and t-post work well.

Also, make sure you read up on legal details on 330s. Suburbs, if any chance a dog could get to them, could be a liability.

Anyone ever check out the youtube channel by Post10? He clears out culverts and beaver dams, mostly in the northeast. He has come down south some but I'm pretty sure he lives in the Vermont/NH area (or somewhere near there). Anyway, I wonder if they've thought of introducing some pythons they've caught in Florida to some of those ponds up north frequented by beavers. It would take care of both: the pythons would consume the beavers, and then die off when the temps got cold.

I'm sure there's something wrong with this idea, but worth mentioning on here.

Introducing an invasive apex predator sounds like a horrible idea to get rid of a rodent problem. The chance they find a way to survive would destroy the ecosystem

I've worked with Texas A&M agriñife extension on beaver eradication on some stream and wetland projects I've worked on in the past
