Tractor Supply sells some dog treats that are supposed to be good for hip and joint pain. I have an elderly dog that's progressively getting slower and slower and it's obvious that she's going through some slight discomfort when going up the stairs (2 steps)

Is there anything over the counter I can purchase to help her?

Look into the CBD/Cannabis products. They do wonders for my pup.

I've heard those treats can be helpful for dogs with joint issues, but I'd also recommend looking into joint supplements like glucosamine or turmeric, which are often sold over-the-counter. If you're also considering flea treatment, you might look into Nexgard without vet prescription to keep her comfortable during her walks.

In my opinion none of the oral otc products are going to do much good. I love Adequan injections.

We have had two vets recommend this. Has worked well for us. They told us to use this before going to prescription meds due to side effects.

Probably the best OTC remedy, but not a substitute for diagnosis and meds like Adequan, nsaids, and Librela. Side effects for adequan are virtually non existent

Dasuquin is the upgraded version of Cosequin

Just doin what our vets tell us.

These worked wonders for our old Brittany the last couple of years of her life. And she loved to eat them too.
