Surprised no one's said anything about this yet.

TFB TV:

- Kel Tec: 5.7 top loader

I am disappointed in the price on the S&W, seems a bit high to me. The kel tec is like most things they make, neat, fun and something I totally don't need but would love a buddy to buy so I can play with it.

Interesting that George Kellgren dug up the nearly 40 year old stripper clip and box magazine system he used on the Grendel P10 before he started Kel Tec.

Brandon Herrera does a humorous and informative video on Kel-Tec

The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But, it's still on the list.

I used to go every other year or so, but there were less and less innovative products each year, so I stopped going. Let us know what you see.

I have never been but the lack luster of ingenuity is what I really expect year after year. I am always hopeful but am typically let down.

Palmetto is really the only one doing anything exciting. Everyone else is just creating Glock clones, adding serrations or ports/comps, and charging ridiculous amounts for anything and everything.

I agree on the main but honestly, I really do feel like we are just about at the peak of the consumer chemical based firearms technology. Aside from some recoil mitigation efforts, concealabilities, maybe some new form factors, what else is there really left that is going to ooh and ahh YOY? Accessories might be a different story but firearms itself? The Alien seems to be the most drastic departure from the norm in ages and honestly it's not THAT revolutionary or anything IMO.

Agreed, I think we are at the Apex of the consumer market, and all people can do is say look at my shiny wheel we remade. Can't say I blame them and I wish I could do something but I can't so hats off to them.

I mean the only thing I could think of would be like what has already been done, cartridge-less like the G3 (I think that was it?). Or items like more affordable NV, thermals, etc.

Hell, even group folks together and tackle laws like SBR's and suppressors. Now's as good as a time as any.

ETA: I'm still interested in it all, so hopefully as the week progresses we hear about more and more stuff

I think the PR-57 could have legs. It's a conceal carry pistol. If you need more than 20 rounds you are likely hosed anyway (especially for the average Joe who is crapping his pants fumbling through a mag change in a self defense situation). As with all things kel tec, I'm more concerned about reliability but you have to give them credit for trying different things.

I won't argue that many things have already been done as far as firearms go. However I'm sure this same thing has been said for years until someone comes up with something new.

I'm very excited about what Lipseys has been offering lately. Not really Shot Show related but similar timing. The John Taffin edition Flattop Bisley and now this. No lock Mountain guns with a lot of nice features.

I know Bobby Tyler and Ronnie Wells worked very hard on the Bearhugs and I think the whole package came out perfect.

This is interesting. I would want to see what the accuracy and durability are, but I have been happy with my Arken scopes.

Imagine the cool stuff we'd have if the NFA were repealed. Shall not be infringed needs coprehensive SCOTUS review.

There's more than just innovation stagnation. Inflation and the ridiculous cost of materials and labor are also not helping.

Even if someone comes out with something really cool, it's almost impossible to keep it to the price range they would need right now to get mass adaptation. Same problem other industries with non-essential goods are having.

Yeah, high brow me was on a cloud talking bout it yesterday but I'd still be all giddy if I were running my grubby little dick skinners all over the new shinies for sure. My mind is primal and the dopamine fires when I see the madlads at KelTec cooking. Their new 5.7 has exactly zero uses for me and I want one so damn bad now.
