I had a few Bass Pro/Cabelas gift cards to spend so I ordered one of these based on the hype. Out of the box I thought about packing it back up based on weight, but it also felt really smooth and well built so I figured I'd give it a chance. Picked up an Ultra Mag from Roy's and spooled it up.
First cast I dialed up the magnet and cranked down the cast control knob. Still managed to cast a tail on a 1/16 jig head with ease. When i backed off the nannys, I was tossing further than any reel I've ever used including my Curado DC. Didn't catch anything that put the drag to the test, but a couple of 21" Trout came in easily. Thought I'd share in case anyone is considering one. You won't be disappointed
