I have a pair of Lucchese boots that needs to be resoled and refinished. Does anyone have a trusted repair shop they go to in the Houston area?

I've had my boots resoled a number of times at Houston Shoe Hospital. They have always done a great job. I actually have a pair there right now. Typical turnaround is 2-3 weeks.

This is the answer. I've had my Luchesses in there three times. Twice for new heels and once on a full resole. They're great. Boots always came back better than I left them.

Never mind the bullet holes in the door. Those are just decoration…

What's the approximate cost for a full re-sole?

Related note - anyone ever have a boot that tore at one of the "seams" of the gator belly repaired? I have a pair of Lucchese's that did this but are otherwise in great condition. I'd love to get them fixed...

I like the one on South Shepherd the best.

The cobbler there is a good guy and is really good at his trade.

I have taken two pair of my Lucchese to Ricca Boot Shop. I am actually wearing one of them right now. Ryan did an excellent job. He closed his storefront location but still works out of his garage shop. Next time I need any work done I will be calling him again.

He is on the NW side. North of Tomball.

I actually had a great experience with The Shoe Hospital. I used the one near memorial city. Had an 18 year old pair of full quill ostrich and a 15 year old pair of caimans done. They look brand new now

This. Great at what they do. Did a great job fixing a bad scuff. I am sure they can fix stitching.

Great Western just did a full resole and a heel for my coworker and it was $280…I have used him many times, and he does great work BUT I am in the market for a more reasonable place myself.

Lucchese will only ever work on boots that nobody else has touched. Just fyi.

I took some lucchese full quill ostrich into Maidas and they did a good job. They were reasonable on repairs at the time several years ago. Their customs are stupid expensive.

My pair actually needs repair so may take back or check out the other recommendations from here. I've heard mixed things about shoe hospital but it was more related to they don't all put out the same quality of work. Looks like some good recs here though.
