We had some of those glue traps set out in our guest house at the ranch. Had a couple come and hunt and they brought there Yorkshire Terrier with them. We came in from hunting and heard this "clop -clop" sound. The dog had both his front feet stuck on the trap and could just do a hop at a time with the glue trap. The lady freaked out but my wife had read to use peanut butter to rub slowly on their feet to make it unstick. It worked...no hide pulled off or nothin.
You could not get that dog to go within 50 feet of those glue traps after that.

Glue traps also have a nasty habit of picking up the snakes that come to catch the rats and mice also.

I have noting to add other than YouTube videos of ratters in the UK using dogs and ever ferrets destroying hundreds of mice is addictive. Seeing dogs doing what they were bred to do is a thing of beauty.

Never have had snakes in the guest house or main house. It does catch scorpions in the house though.
If one of the traps should catch a snake in the guest house or main house I will no longer have a wife in the house.

They make good catfish bait.

One of mine is not afraid of snakes and the other one thinks the only good snake is a dead snake. One early morning at the house in Houston the first one went outside and started laughing. She called me and there was a large rat snake on the top of the wood fence. It was over 5 ft long. Then the second one came outside and saw it and said kill it, kill it. I explained it was a good snake and would eat mice and rats from the woods behind the fence. So, I relocated it back there. It may have been someone's pet since it was so docile. The second one said "wash your hands ….. with soap ….. with lava soap. No rinse them off with gasoline and then wash them with lava soap." She really doesn't like snakes.
