Our close family friends daughter is still missing. She was in one of the cabins swept away at mystic. We are still praying hard for her safe return. This sucks so bad. A complete gut punch to our little town.

The boys in the lower cabins, including our friends two boys, had to hang onto the rafters in the cabin with ten feet of water inside until the water receded enough to get out and get to high ground. The boys were explaining it to us like it was no big deal. So crazy.

Praying Derm! Praying for parents and loved ones to have strength during this time. Praying for the girls to hang on and keep fighting that are unaccounted for as it gets dark to not be afraid. Praying for staff and rescued crews for renewed strength.

I went to church with Jane. She was a close friend and
loved her campers and Heart of the Hills camp. She was a big part of our community and will be dearly missed.

LCRA has opened a floodgate at Wirtz Dam and plans to open additional floodgates at both Wirtz and Starcke dams soon to release storm runoff flowing into Lake LBJ from the Llano River. Throughout the course of the evening, LCRA may need to open all 10 floodgates at Starcke Dam to move floodwaters downstream. The releases will flow from Wirtz Dam, which creates Lake LBJ, through Starcke Dam, which creates Lake Marble Falls, and into Lake Travis. Flows downstream of Wirtz and Starcke dams will be very fast and water levels will be much higher than usual. Please take action to protect people and property that may be affected.
The floodgate operations are a response to heavy rains that fell late Thursday/early Friday over much of the Hill Country, causing a rise on many streams and tributaries. Please note that rain chances continue overnight, and conditions can change rapidly.
See the http://www.hydromet.lcra.org for the latest real-time data on rainfall, streamflow and lake levels.
When flash flooding occurs, avoid unnecessary travel. If you must travel, don't drive into flooded roadways. Remember "Turn around, don't drown."
Unscheduled releases from the Highland Lakes dams may occur suddenly and unexpectedly at any time due to emergency hydroelectric generation or other reasons. The public should exercise caution and avoid being in the water near the dams at all times.
Sitting on my dock right now upper lake LBJ. Water going up and down so LCRA is pulsing water downstream. Keeping things in check pretty well so far but we still have lots of water up the Llano that's not here yet

2 flew over our house a few minutes ago, we are north of SAMMC in the flight path.

We normally have them right here in the cove. Seems I spoke too soon. We are abandoning the dock
Definitely concerned about folks being lulled into a false sense of security just because where they are may not be flooding at the moment.

I'm on LBJ and it's been rising all day but has jumped 6-8" or so in the Granite Shoals side in the last 15-30 min or so, and that's not in the direct line of the Llano/Colorado feeding it. Water starting to reach the floor of some docks. Llano River pushing lots of water right now, even if things seem quieter now that the rain has died down and you can almost see some blue skies.
