I think there is a single picture somewhere that miraculously never made it to the internet.

I owned that game.
My mother would force my brothers to play with me sometimes. Very fond memories.

I have played that with my daughter more than a few times.
I have to say I enjoyed it. Weird.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening here in Comfort, about 40 mins before sundown, there has been a constant pink hue outside. The combination of the sunset and the clouds made everything outside look pink. Can only think it was God opening his arms to bring all those sweet girls home.

Derm so so so sorry for your loss

There are green ribbons for Camp Mystic.

My nephew and his wife want pink ribbons because it is about the girls and not the camp.

So supposedly they have found Mary Grace's body. Which is good for closure. Thank y'all so much.

I wish words were sufficient, but they aren't. However, I AM very sorry to hear about this.

I saw Wayne Watson, a CCM artist, in concert a few years after he had written this song. He said he wrote it after he wrote the song, Almighty, which he had written when he was mad at God. This one, which deals more with grief and explanations (to the extent possible), is for us now and you and your family a little later.

Been lurking for 20 years, and have followed Dermdoc's baseball posts for a long time. I'm sorry to hear this news, but glad there is at least a chance for closure. All these families will remain in our prayers, as I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. Need to pick up some green, pink, and purple ribbon(grew up with a young ladies uncle) to honor the memories of these young ladies.

I've been following this thread over these days and really am not good with words. Derm, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Your faith throughout has been so inspirational. I will continue to pray for you and your family.

Update:
Today (Tuesday) I replaced last night's effort with PINK TULLE. The bow just withstood a heavy downpour.

All I had was a piece of light baby pink and a piece of hot pink. I just used them both. (Because I wanted to wrap the tree TODAY). Tomorrow I'll go to the store… The shade of pink will depend on what I find!!

I read a comment today that really resonated with me. In all this pain and incredible difficulty, just think how these girls were singing praise songs and learning more about Jesus, and then hours later were face to face with Him and in His loving arms. Hard for our human brains to really fully understand this.

I pray for peace for all these families, friends, first responders, volunteers, and those that are just hurting over this tragedy. My sincerest condolences to those on this forum we all enjoy that were so directly impacted. I also pray for understanding and that this may somehow lead people to Jesus and his grace.

Dermdoc, I hope you and your family can feel all of the Aggies, Texans, and anybody else who has gathered here in recent days praying hard for your family.

My wife and I don't know you or anybody here personally, as far as we know, but we are both crushed by this tragedy, especially as parents of two young children. We will continue to pray for God to lift you and your family up.

We've never met, but I mean when I say I love you and your family. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I'm sorry that it ended this way, but I find some peace knowing that your nephew and family have closure. All love, my friend. God Bless Mary Grace and may she be safe in the arms of our Lord.

And I always have it in my mind that those n Heaven wouldn't come back here even if given that chance. Though we crave them here with us, where they are is so wonderful and they know one day we will join them. They have so many people to see, ancestors they never knew, and all the things they like. At least that is how it is my mind.

From a song to St. Peter:

And let them love, Peter
For they've had no time
They should have trees and bird songs
And hills to climb

The taste of summer in a ripened pear
And girls sweet as meadow wind
With flowing hair

And tell them how they are missed
But say not to fear
It's gonna be alright
With us down here

Thank you for sharing this. He's nearing $250K in donations in 2 hours. Seems to be one heck of a great Christian man to look up to as well. Impressive stuff here.

Anyone ever set up an endowed scholarship before? Just an idea. Probably needs it's own thread, but I would donate a couple bucks for all of the Ags that lost kids and grandkids through this if a scholarship was created in their memory.

I have a niece that works for the A&M Foundation, she helped us with one. Of course, any of the staff there could help.

We in the Aggie Band Class of '77 set up one to memorialize our classmates who have passed. Basically you need $25,000 to begin a scholarship.

The Foundation invests your seed money, and splits the return at 1% of the endowment goes to run the Foundation. Four percent goes to the scholarship recipient.

Any return above 5% is reinvested into the scholarship endowment. So using the $25k, and assume a return of 7%, an extra $500 would be banked in the endowment above the Foundation and recipient cuts.

In that example, the recipient would get $1,000 the first year, $1,020 in year two, and hopefully more as the endowment grows.

Derm, I don't know you but have come to be indoors by your relentless pursuit of God, despite the hardships. I have spent quite a bit of time praying for you and your family the last few days. I'm so sorry. I cannot imagine the pain.
My prayers will not cease. For peace. For comfort. Mary Grace is home now. You will all see her again.
Basically, A&M's stadium is like the anti-Longhorn Network, a place everyone wants to be, but not everyone fits.
