Figured this thread was the most knowledgeable for these topics.

We live in Navasota. I base my business out of our mudroom and I am looking to increase our home/business security. Currently, we have Nest outdoor and doorbell cameras coupled with ADT door/window sensors. We were big fans of Nest until Google bought them out. We still like the smoke detector and thermostat (love how they work together in case of a fire), but the cameras are awful. I will get an alert and try to pull up a camera and the feed takes minutes to load. And forget it if you need to pull something up that already happened. You can see it in the thumbnail, but as soon as it's selected, it rarely fully loads. Needless to say, time to make a switch.

Looking for any suggestions. Ideally, we would have the ability for mobile access to cameras with recording up to 30 days plus door and window monitoring.

I had the same problem with my Ring/Blink security systems. Backyard cameras ok but front cameras took a while to load if they loaded at all. Live in CS and my WI-FI provider is Frontier.

I had a Frontier tech over for another issue with my TV and mentioned it to him. He gave me a second router and told me to put the router by the dining room bay windows at the front of the house. Now cameras work with only.a 3-5 second delay.

I'm in my 70's and not a tech person by any stretch but this worked for me.

we use https://www.wyze.com/ for our business cameras. It probably won't get a lot of votes from this forum, but I think it's super easy. One subscription and we have two locations. Can have as many cameras (and I assume other equipment) all on one subscription. Can group them, notifications etc. Cameras are pretty cheap and I think the quality is good. Shows live preview and quick to load. We are also in Navasota so I can even show you in person if you want.

I have Ring cameras (not blink) for doorbell, multiple outside models and one inside in addition to 3 inside models i installed at my in-laws (80+ yo) and they work perfectly…quick views, recordings up to 180 days. Previously used Blink (low quality) which were horrendous.
