I am in 18 N on the NE side. Lots of action last night with 5 does and an 8 pt coming by.

The 8 pt was borderline, and he didn't stick around long enough to tempt me.

Nothing this morning. Front coming through today so hopefully that keeps em up and moving. Acorns are everywhere.

Currently "safely" in my tree stand.

Ha. I was swaying pretty good yesterday up in the tree. Was pretty confident in my 12 inch diameter tree though. I did hear two big limbs or trees fall while I was up there which is nerve racking. On the ground in a different spot this morning. Had a very borderline buck come by. Rattled in two bucks yesterday afternoon. Both shooters but couldn't get a shot. They both came running in from different directions after about 45 seconds of rattling and I got pinned down without my bow in my hand.

Thanks! I'm excited, looks like some toads come out of there. Hopefully I'm high enough in the draw that I get to choose wheatfields, just the feedback I was looking for!

My son got it done at 120 yds with the trusty .243 Saturday on doe hunt at Daughtrey WMA. It was hot but we saw a bunch of turkeys and was able to punch his tag the first evening. We got there kind of late so we went ahead and just used one of the blinds they have available. We had plans to set up a pop up blind but ended up getting a deer on the first night so didn't need to. We have hunted Daughtrey and Choke Canyon North Shore and always happy to share experience if anyone in future gets drawn there and digs up this thread.
