Following this thread again; we were just contacted about our land.

We negotiated ourselves last time. While I think we did pretty well, I don't want the headache again.

Who is the best lawyer for our land - just east of Sealy, south of I-10?

They want permission to start surveying, etc.

Are these proposed pipelines east or west of 36? We have 3 pipelines on property west of 36 and haven't been contacted by anyone yet.

I hired Philip to help me with an easement/ED issue. Had an office in Fulshear but I think he's consolidated in El Campo now.

Edit to add, south of 10, east of Sealy? You're not George Bishop, are you?

We used, and are using again, Philip Hundl. We are also east of 36/south of I-10.

I think both of the new pipelines are going to be running west to east, at least across Austin County where we are. We're east of 36, also with three pipelines in the ground already. From what we understand the new Whitewater Eiger pipeline will be taking another easement alongside the easement they took for the Whitewater Matterhorn pipeline. All we've heard from Whitewater to date is a phone call from the same landman we dealt with regarding the Matterhorn pipeline requesting verbal permission to start surveying. He said it was his first day working this new project and they have a very aggressive schedule, which is why he was calling landowners directly on a Saturday afternoon.

The other new project, Mustang Express, sent paperwork requesting permission to survey. The preliminary route information they enclosed show it to be going in on the north side of the three pipelines already there. The new Whitewater Eiger will be on the south side of those already established pipelines. Once again, this only applies to southern Austin County. I don't know where they are coming from or where they are going.

Touchscreen,

Would you mind sharing who at Whitewater reached out to you? I am also an Austin County land owner. Our place is near Nelsonville. Whitewater came through our place too but since that time, the entity that owns the ranch has a new number and new address due to some health issues with the manager. I just want to stay on top of this. Crying shame they are coming through again as our pasture finally looks normal again. Email is in profile.

Thanks.

Artesia 0102,
Did you see the private message I sent?

My son, Kyle Hlavinka, does eminent domain work for one of the best firms in the state, Marrs Ellis & Hodge. Here is his info: https://mehlaw.com/attorneys/kyle-hlavinka/

I'm sure he'd be happy to discuss.

We are from East Bernard and are really familiar with the Austin County area. We've been up to the Texas Supreme Court on an eminent domain case as well.

If you are in llano county, San Saba county or west of there, the atty you need to contact is Joe Will Ross out of San Angelo. He took good care of my family with the first 42" line Matterhorn put in.

damn, mistyped we are also east of 36, not west.
Anyone have a link to a good route map, not the gross thing put out by Matterhorn?
ETA: Current pipelines are Old Ocean Mineral built in 1959, and Enterprise built in 2015 and 2018.

That's great! He is working with one of the best eminent domain attorneys imo.

Justin Hodge has represented us on several cases involving eminent domain and has done a great job. He has always been honest and responsive. The appraisal firm he recommended and worked with did a great job also.

They are a great firm. Kyle was Justin's student in law school. He is working on several projects for us currently. The great thing about MEH is they only represent landowners!!!

Turn the screws to them.

I say this as someone in the ROW business. My job is be the ROW agent/landman & I've done pipelines (currently on powerlines) See my other posts on the subject.

However, I still try to take care of my landowners & communicate with some of them years after the project has ended. I never lie to them and I do not like seeing them get run over.

IMHO another pipeline this early on top of the other one should cost (pay you) at least double what the first one did.
