I have gone to some firearm auctions that also have old west memorabilia and deer mounts, etc. being auctioned. At one in particular I sat next to a hispanic man who bought just about every whitetail mount they auctioned. I asked him if he was buying them for putting in a restaurant or something.
He told me " Heck no, I putting dem in my house so I can tell all mi amigos dat I choot them"!
Now you know why the antlers were cut off.
