Headed to Vail area next week to fly fish and wanted to see if any Ags fished those rivers. Best spots this time of year? Thanks and Gig Em

Rivers are unbelievably low right now. I'm there in mid October and trying to decide between fishing or golf. Always wanted to fish the Eagle River

I took 3 guys up to Colorado last week and the fly fishing was really good. I was worried about the water being low and there were some holes that did not hold fish due to the low water but all and all the fishing was really good with a lot of 20 plus inch browns and rainbows. This was up on the Yampa and the Little Snake rivers. I have never fished the Eagle but I have fished down around Carbondale. I would think that the Roaring Fork would still fish very well at lower levels.

Floated the eagle in June and it was awesome.
Best fly fishing outing in Colorado I've ever had.
Guide (out of beaver creek) was great with 20 years experience.

Low water be damned! Glad ya'll went. I'm heading back in 2 weeks.

The lower Eagle river was great. Had to drive 45 minutes but worth it. Plenty of great water. We fished mostly between Wolcott and Eagle. Great public access there.

I'm doing a float trip Thursday morning - pretty sure we will be on the upper Colorado. I'll report back.

I fished it one morning. Lots of boats came through. They had lots of rain so everything was up.
