Long story short i love my Polaris but its white, which i hate. I've called around and the general consensus by vehicle wrapping companies is that it's a PITA and that they don t want to do it.

so my question is threefold:

1. do you know any places who will do a wrap? I'd prefer some sort of camo pattern (game guard would be neat)

2. if not can you have someone paint these? I guess i'd go desert tan or olive drab if needed.

3. has anyone done. this themselves? this is by far the worst option because i'd likely screw it up.

How old is it? If you've got enough time into and some dings and dents, then I'd say it is a DIY project. If it is still new then I'd go for the professional paint job.

We had a some side by sides we used for our company at events. We had them all wrapped by the same company that did the boats for our pro fishermen and our promotional boats.
All wraps are not the same. Depending on cost they have different quality and thickness.
We compared custom painting to the wrap and the wrap was less expensive in the long run.
If you get tired of the wrap or want to re do it it can be removed. The wrap will also protect your finish somewhat.

I'd for sure go the wrap versus paint, and if you have the ability, a company like above can supply you with all you need, including instructions on how to do it. It mostly takes a spray bottle with water, some squeezes, a few razor blades, and a heat gun, fairly simple overall once you get the hang of it.

Yep, spray bottle with water and a little car soap, microfiber cloth, cheap rubber squeegee kit, razor blade, and a heat gun will install a bunch of vinyl pretty easily. If there aren't a bunch of crazy contours to follow vinyl is surprisingly easy. The heat gun will help it adapt to contours and edges.

If you're not worried about it being a show quality job I wouldn't worry at all about doing it yourself.

I'd look into spraying it with truck bed liner. They make some DIY kits too.

I had this conversation with the guys from Ranch Armor a few years ago when looking to get fortress doors wrapped to match my ranger. Although I didn't end up getting doors, they told me to go direct to the company they used which is Specialty Wrapz in New Braunfels. They do full ranger/UTV wraps
