I bought one brand new maybe 4-5 years ago and have never put a round through it. I am really not interested in keeping it at this point and with all of the recent news I am wondering what I could realistically get for it. Any thoughts?

Honestly, I don't think anyone will buy it. If they do, they haven't been following the news. In which case, you'd potentially be living with a guilty conscience.

That is what I was afraid of. I considered taking up to my local gun range (they also do sales) and see if they would be willing to give me anything just to take it off my hands or put it towards a new purchase.

Put it up for sale in the classifieds. You may find a buyer
So the greatest civilization is one where all citizens are equally armed and can only be persuaded, never forced. It removes force from the equation... and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

Is it 1st Gen? I'm not sure on the years. The newest ones supposedly fixed the issues.

I'm going to offer an alternative option that is in keeping with OB tradition by recommending you spend more money.

Like you, I do not trust a loaded 320 AIWB pointed at my body. Even a 1% or 0.01% chance of having an unintended discharge is enough to keep me from carrying it, especially since it seems so hard to diagnose/troubleshoot.

However, the Flux Raider chassis for the 320 makes it into a really fantastic little bag gun/pdw option. I carry mine with an empty chamber in the bag and just practice racking the slide as I pull it out. I sometimes carry mine in a nondescript little sling bag along with some medical gear as a little travel/active shooter/whatever way to supplement my EDC.

I spent the last two years shooting the tan Raider pictured above in steel challenge matches and have put a lot of rounds through it without issue. I think if you carry it with an empty chamber and are good at practicing the four rules and never pointing the gun at anything you don't want to shoot if you ever pull it out, the risks of the 320 are minimized, and you can at least get some use out of an otherwise useless hunk of plastic and metal.

I liked my first Raider so much I even bought a second one and chopped the top off so I could run a slide mounted dot so my other 320 sitting in the safe got some use, because like you I was debating what to do with a gun I didn't want to carry and felt weird about selling off to someone else.

A 320 in a Flux chassis is a very capable little package.

Just as another option to think about.....

Someone will buy it if you put it up for sale. List it for a great price and someone like me will have a hard time not buying it

I've seen the stories on Sig P320's, but haven't done much research. Is it an issue with the trigger that could be swapped out and solve the problem or is it another issue?

So, basically, I should just keep my P320 and get a Flux Raider.... I bought it less than 2 years ago.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

The issue is that theres still some question as to what the issue is.

Some are user error, some may be holster fitment issues with wmls, and some may be a fully cocked striker disengaging due to poor qc/tolerance stacking.

Its not as simple as "this part is or could be bad, swap it out", unfortunately.

Big thread where all the maybes have been discussed: https://texags.com/forums/34/topics/2960801/0#discussion

Thats what I would do for sure.

But I also have a soft spot for guns that fit into a "civilian pdw" niche. I think theres a lot of utility during unrest/natural disaster/pick your hypothetical scenario for guns that offer more capability than your typical edc but are still more portable/concealable than an actual rifle, and the Raider is a great gun for that.

Well, I always respect your opinion and knowledge on gun subject matter - plus, envious of your collection.

I am in the same boat. Bought a P320 about that same time and never put a round through it. I know selling it will be a bust, so I am holding out hope there is a free fix offered by Sig. I will then keep it in the same box for another 20 years then sell it as a "never been modified, never been fired" collectible. Ot is just an expensive conversation piece at this point anyway. My local range doesn't allow them onsite.

Our neighbor's son just had his discharge into his leg last week. He survived. Has had 1 surgery already and another one lined up.

He's pretty spooked by it. I have no idea if it was user error or part of the running problem with this gun.

They are going to have to admit to there being a problem befor they can try to fix it, and I don't believe they've publicly done that. In the meantime, I see lots of barely used department trade-ins for sale really cheap everywhere.

I paid $75 for one the other day

I usually give $125 or so for S&W SD9s

If this was a toy causing risk of death in kids, it would be completely recalled, refunded and pulled off the shelves.

All I see is a voluntary "upgrade". Pretty crazy.

Just went through retiring arms that have no future and me needing less time caring for them, more time for golf.
Screwed = pawn shops if no sale anywhere else but fast
Gun store = 1/2 retail w/no add-ons, etc. in the deal IF parts still available out there
Will make you CRY, what a shame!

Have never been to a Gun Show, so maybe if time is no object, this might be the best option?
Anyone?

Thanks Bender for making me spend more money now....

Someone on one of the videos I watched when the issues came out said it best. Unless you need the money, which isn't going to be much, throw it in the safe and leave it there until Sig comes out with a fix. Sig is too big and has too much invested in the 320 platform, especially with the military contracts, to not find a fix and issue a recall. It will happen. It may be 2 years from now, but it will happen.

Let me know if you get can get an M17 for cheap. I want one for a wall hanger. I'm doing a display in my office of the service rifles and pistols that were used during my career.

Wondering how his son is doing. And any more color on what actually happened?
