This weekend I guided for a disadvantaged youth hunt near Jacksboro. About 25 kids, all first time hunters. My little guy was 11 years old and was missing 3 fingers and a large portion of one hand. He could shoot pretty good at the range. He closed the deal on a 7pt this morning with a 162 yard shot, not on par with his range performance. It was a dead center stomach shot. Luckily it stopped in the open about 75 yards from us. He was too amped up to take a 2nd shot and finish it so instead of waiting for the kid to calm down, I popped the deer in the neck to ease his suffering. These kids laid some smack down this weekend for sure. Lots of smiling faces.

Next year when the guy starts asking for guides I'll make a thread on the OB. They usually do the boys weekend around 12/6. They have a girls weekend in November where they can only use women guides and they really struggle to find women guides to volunteer. I think this year they only had 4
