Howdy,

I am in the class of 26 at TAMU and I am looking for a deer lease. My dad isn't much of a deer hunter and I get in with my buddies when I can but I would love to have a place to manage myself!

PM me if you have any openings for next season or if there is anything this season as well and let me know on price.

How close to CS do you want to stay? Last year I had an opening on one of my Nacogdoches county leases and posted in the classifieds. Had lots of interest until I had a member of my San Augustine county lease want to take the opening to be closer to home. Once I posted that the opening was now in San Augustine county, all those that were interested before were no longer interested- I guess another 30 miles was a deal breaker. Almost every year I have an opening so watch the classifieds starting next spring.

You have public lands to hunt not that far away from you and cost is only $ 55. Sam Houston and Lake Somerville, apply to all the draw hunts in August offered on tpwd. Good luck on a lease but lots out there to explore if looking for an adventure vs the "sit in a blind over a feeder in your designated 100 acres spot" you learn a lot more the other way.

I have hunted public land and saddled for bow hunts I just want to find a place to be able to manage.
