Heading to MT for the first time for a General Season deer tag next week. Only Muley hunting I've done so far has been in West Texas on our private lease or high country archery in CO. Currently have a hunt plan that targets pockets away from road view via hike & glass in the cooley country on scattered BLM & State in Eastern MT. Curious if anyone that has hunted this general tag has any advice.

In my experience, glass all day without seeing any, then see 23 in the bar ditches at night!

I have hunted the Missouri Breaks area in the CMR for 5-6 years Numbers are down this year and last year.. You have the right idea(sit high and glass). Good luck
