Anyone been? Looks like a great family camping area, without having to drive too far.

How crowded is the camping area?

Are the fish pretty easy for kids to catch?

I've fished the Blue River several times. Campsites are great, but you may want to get there and check in early. For fishing advice and information, stop at Scotty's Blue River on the way in. Have fun. Beautiful place.

We've had some fun there.

Fishing north of the highway is usually less crowded. The more you hike in, the less crowded.

Not sure the rules this year, but the northern most end has been catch and release and has special rules.

And be cautious - some slippery rocks and and drop offs. I have a good friend that has fished for 40 years all over and last year he slipped and his waders filled and his buddy saved him.

If your kids are wearing waders, keep them close.
