I'm in the Houston area but willing to travel 3-4 hours if necessary for the right spot. My golden is 10 months old and I'm looking to ship him off for 6-8 weeks on obedience training. Any recommendations are appreciated.

For ecollar/off leash training check out Dobbin Dog Ranch. Nice place, and he did a great job with our dog.

AgVet13's husband trains Labradors. But I think his focus is to train them to become hunting dogs. They live in Blanco. She may have a recommendation for you.

My husband, Justin Drake, does obedience training. We are in Blanco, Tx. Our obedience course is 6-8 weeks.

2nd on Dobbins….know some LEO's that have taken their dogs there.
We took two of our German Shepherds to Triple Crown Dog Academy in Hutto Texas years back and they did a good job. Was told they have expanded and are now called Starmark Animal Behavioral Center.
They specialized in expanded obedience for service dogs etc. They were good with our GSD's.
They do it without "fear training" as well.

Gabe trained both our dogs and does an amazing job. He does anything from basic pet training, to protection, service, and competition.
