I actually made one for Ralphie with his name and the movie logo plus my own design on the stock but...

Apparently the owners of the IP for The Christmas Story and Daisy do not actually get along.

In talking my contact at Daisy, there is zero chance of a Christmas Story Red Ryder actually happening.

Don't know if they still do it or not. But at ROTC camp at Ft Riley in mid seventies, the first trip to range we used Daisys to shoot washers that your partner threw up in the air. You learned to follow the target.

My "almost 8 year old" and I plinked solo cups and a busted pumpkin, for at least 2 hrs. (on full bellies) with his cousin's Daisy Red Ryder on Thanksgiving Day. Needless to say, he's hooked! I was pleasantly surprised, with his interest in listening, safety, handling the gun correctly, etc.

Santa will be putting one under the tree this Christmas!
