10 head + a couple heifers we're keeping back, 2 bull calves we missed I'm taking to sale here in a few months.

Swapped over to a fall calving and fixing to turn a bull out on them. East Texas - Madisonville area if it matters.

You just give A in the fall/winter? At one time we did, but our forage program changed over the years and we really didn't need it.

I put bull on in March so give A&D in January, typically grazing dry forage and a boost for breeding.

Definitely several different ways to go about it. I've been using virashield 6 + VL5, 8 way and dewormer roughly 45 days before breeding or synchronizing and have been happy with it. I also give another a couple weeks before calving.

Plenty of brands and options to choose from, as well as a modified live (MLV) or killed vaccine. Just be sure to follow labels, especially if using a MLV.

Think I've settled I'm going with the Virashield / Bovishield 6, an 8 way, and Decto.

Do you guys like a pour on or injectable Decto?

Safe to work all the cows while bred? Seem to recall we used to when I was little but don't remember.
Do I need to wait a few months along to be safer & less risk?
