Nothing crazy going on really this year. The big talk is the fines. These fines have always been going on but for some reason it has taken off on social media this week. Will OCONNELL just let me know he is selling two tickets for tonights performance if anyone is needing tickets.

That's the truth. My wife has seen a few posts on FaceBook about the fines, specifically about the feathers. I remember some of the years past you posted fine sheets on the NFR thread.

Tuesday night was a fun night to watch. Watching the pickup man take a spill was a scary moment, I don't think I've seen that before.

You will want to watch tonight. This will be full baggage last trip. He is retiring after tonight. He has made 19 trips to the NFR and was horse of the year 2 times. He has 6 go around wins hoping for number 7 tonight.

She was 4th. Kassie mowry finished 1st on the 1st time riding the horse while her belt was hooked around the saddle horn. She's the Michael Jordan of barrels. It's incredible watching her ride.

I had to look up the Feather Fine thing. Yes, its true that, unless you are allowed by law by being Native American or whatever, putting a protected feather in your hat in public is a bad idea.

However, an NFR judge is not a Federal Game Warden.

Where did that horse come from? I think she's won two go rounds on different horses this year…while her "best" horse is still back in Texas

I see a lot of complaining online from barrel racers about how terrible the ground is. Is it really that bad? Or are some of those just pushing the animals too fast for such a small arena that they get in trouble?

Ground is real soft imo, but I'm far from an expert.

That's just what barrel racers do....complain about the dirt. It did look quite dry, but you'll never please them all.

Ai answer: The NFR's riding order is thus a result of rankings, a random draw of stock, and a systematic rotation to maintain fairness among all contestants. This careful selection process contributes to the event's competitiveness and excitement.

I didn't know the official answer so I looked it up.
