Disclaimer - I hate leaf blowers, but it has more to do with when and where they disrupt my naps. I am one of those people that has most everything I want, so my Christmas list is stuff I want but would never spend the money on. I asked for this particular model because I already have the DeWalt 60v battery for my string trimmer. I do my own yardwork, and this thing takes the 30-minute sweeping chore and makes it into about 5 minutes.

How much did Dewalt pay you to post?

Naps must be nice.

I can imagine! My 18v (brushless) Ryobi does pretty well for being an 18v.

But I admit I was pretty impressed (envious) when I used a friend's 40v Kobalt blower the other day (I'm minding their pool while they're away for Xmas, and they have tons of leaves).

That 60v must really blow! I've been tempted to get an Ego blower that would use the battery from my lawn mower, but they're just so expensive, and I'm managing fine with what I have for now.

Would love it if my town banned gas blowers. With half acre trees lots in this neighborhood I swear on thursdays it's dueling blowers for hours as they go from house to house in the fall.

This thing is still fairly loud. Sounds like it has a gearbox with straight cut gears, plus the obligatory fan noise. It kicks back in your hand when run full blast.

I have the same one and love it. I have 2 big batteries, so I swap and keep going if one dies. If you're not a professional landscaper there's no reason to use a gas one anymore.

Batteries don't last near as long as an internal combustion engine. There are only so many charge and discharge cycles a battery can withstand. Motors can be easily rebuilt with new spark plugs, piston rings, etc. Electric motors let the smoke out and they're bound for a landfill.

Sure they're easy, but I'll stick with the dinosaur juice for now.

This is why I will try my best to never live in town ever again. Too many people worried about what I do at noon on a Tuesday.

I'm embarrassed to say I still use a Sears Electric blower I bought in 1991. Still works perfectly. Bonus is when I reach the end of my extension cord I quit right there.

Howdy Burdizzo, looking at this on Amazon, see the battery, wow $160, but nothing on the charger, shows 120 volt, does it plug into the wall, or how do you charge the battery???

Don't buy DeWalt batteries, buy the Chinese knock offs on Amazon.
The price difference is gobsmacking.

I have a 40v Greenworks and it Sithl does compare to my Stihl gas blower. If really got it for ease of use and my pole saw uses the same batteries.

I suspect he uses the charger he already had for other same voltage Dewalt tools

Don't support Chinese communists and their IP theft. Support American companies.

I'm not paid by Dewault either, but the biggest value I've found for my battery blower vs gas is that my wife will use it. Unless we're working outside all day in the yard (and going to stink anyway) she refuses to use our gas powered Stihl as she swears it makes her smell like the lawn (whatever that means).

She will pick up the light battery powered option and blow out the garage, the patio, light yard work, etc. because it doesn't make her stink. Honestly, I think Dewault, etc. could use this notion in a commercial to sell more.

Thought someone might need this excuse to buy one.

I have three of the DeWalt 20v chargers that came with other DeWalt tools I have, as well as about half dozen DeWalt 20v batteries of various capacities. The 20v charger will also charge the 60v battery. My 60v battery came with my DeWalt string trimmer. The charger is 120VAC
