I have a Sako 85L Finnlight thats been in the safe a while. I was in the safe yesterday getting something and the synthetic stock on the Sako is so sticky - its unusable.

Apparently this is a known issue with some of their stocks. Does anyone know a company that does stock refinishing in the Houston area?

Reading online its seems fairly easy to remove the sticky layer, but needs to be repainted afterwards which is where I need help.

I fix mine by putting walnut on it. Browning had the same issue but they'll replace it for free. Have you called Sako? Maybe they have a similar recall?

Having the same issue on a Sako 25-06. Had this issue on a Browning Maxus and Browning replaced the stock for free. I need to reach out to Sako and see how they handle this.
