Every time one of these threads gets posted, I remember how lucky I have been personally with a four wheeler accident. I grew up in East Texas in the middle of the Davy Crockett National Forest and at some point before we could drive (I'm not sure exactly how old I was but somewhere between 13 and 16), and the national forest was our playground to explore and hunt. Well at some point my teenage girlfriend decided to let me drive her four wheeler with her on it, which I was unqualified to do, and at some point in the day I got extra cocky and flipped it with the two of us being thrown off it. I don't think I was even aware they had seat belts? Well, we survived, but I broke my arm somehow. Naturally, I couldn't tell my mom what happened, so I just hid it from her. That was the smart thing to do, right? So about two weeks later, my mom (who was also a teacher at my high school which meant I was around her a lot) confronted me and said, "So when were you going to tell me?" I looked at her and said, "What are you talking about?" Bright response, right? She went from slighlty annoyed/a little angry to gimping up her arm and making a face that said, "Jamie is an idiot" all at once. Lots of lessons to be learned there. Don't drive vehicles unless you can be responsible, testosterone is a hell of a drug, don't lie to your parents, and sometimes, broken bones don't need to be reset, which is cool.
