Had to go swap a few camera batteries and a group showed up literally as we pulled up. 22-250 did work. 20+ hogs and I nailed the biggest on the first shot and put one in another as they ran. In typical fashion for me, both shots were in the same hog.

I love my 22-250, but I simply quit taking a bolt gun, always an AR, or maybe my 45acp PCC, anytime pigs might be a target opportunity.

That's cool, but every situation is different. I was in a truck with the crew driving around and my feeder is in a clearing about 20 yards by 60 yards big. You're only getting a shot, maybe two if you're lucky, off.

I'm with you on this. Been leaving the AR behind more often than not. 7 rem mag puts em in the dirt on impact. Never really get more than a couple of clean shots anyway.
