I think it's too early for Colorado Bend. We would always go around mid March and do well.

Gonna be around Austin on Saturday. Anywhere around there that I could bank fish and maybe catch the white bass running?

Not sure what the river flows are like, namely whether they're adequate, but the San Gabriel above Granger (The Steps) and the old Reimers Ranch place on the Pedernales, which is now a county park, are two options.

The steps are holding, I was there saturday. When the water is right, you can get them out of the Pedernales from the bank at Rehimers Ranch.

Took the boat upriver to Colorado Bend on Saturday morning and it was dead. There were probably 6-8 other boats and about a dozen kayakers fishing and nobody was catching anything. Weather was nice all week and then a cold front blew in on Friday and screwed everything up.
