God is good. Some great info here for us to get started.

Our current Church runs 200+ on Sunday morning. About 100
On Wednesday plus 40-50 teens. We do use KJV. Small, traditional church but so so good.

Definitely looking for a church home for her where we both can have a relationship with pastor / student pastor. I'd love to personally be able to reach out to them from time to time or make sure they feel comfortable reaching out to me. No helicopter dad but we don't stop being dads just because they go off to college.

Thanks everyone. She's excited to start visiting. I can bump this as we visit and maybe shake hands with anyone as we make our way down.

Tell her to watch out for those South Texas Catholic boys. They have been known to drink and party and spin Protestant girls around the the dance floor. And take 'em home to Mama.

Gotta be something else you grew up on that dirty Lyford water.

Our dads probably used the same mix of pyrithrins and glysophate.

I attended FBC Bryan when I was in college there and our four Aggie children have all either attended (up to graduation) or are attending there currently. They love the Sr. Pastor - Jim Heiligman, the variety of services (Contemporary & Traditional w/ a choir), the robust college ministry (have bible studies during the week, and large group worship on Sunday nights), the Student Adoption Ministry, and the mission-mindedness of the church. It is a strong Bible believing and Bible teaching church and is truly multi-generational. My wife & I love the church as well and attend there as many as 15 Sundays a year (it is our church home away from home). I am happy to answer any questions you have.

My family and I joined FBC Bryan a little over 2 years ago. We love it there. The staff are fantastic. Pastor Jim is a gifted preacher. And on the occasional weekend he is not preaching, the other pastoral staff do a great job as well.

Their college program is very active and robust. We usually attend the 10:10am service, and occasionally the 11:30am one. Lots of college students at both services.

Reformed University Fellowship is another great campus ministry to consider.

Also receiving votes: Central Baptist, Westminster Presbyterian (obviously a little outside your mentioned church circle, but they care about faithful preaching and teaching)

We attended Westminster for about 5 years from 2015 until 2020 or so. We love Pastor Wade. And I was always impressed with the RUF ministers that Westminster sponsored. If you want a smallish environment, reformed church, I cannot recommend Westminster highly enough.

I attended New Life Baptist when I was there. Allen is an excellent teacher of the Word. He chooses a book of the Bible and teaches verse by verse until the book is finished. My wife and I met at their community groups, and my sister and her husband go there now. If she is interested, DM me and I can put her in touch with several great people I know that still attend there!

Our daughter has attended Brazos Fellowship the last 3 years. We couldn't ask for a better place for her to be!

Christ Church (formerly Christ United Methodist Church) split from the United Methodist Church two years ago. They are now part of the Global Methodist Church. Global leadership is conservative; United is liberal). It's a large church with lots of opportunities
And a solid college student ministry. If your daughter ever wants to visit, my wife and I will meet her. PM me. Senior pastor Jerry House is a solid Bible preacher who adeptly guided the congregation into the conservative Global Methodist organization a couple years ago.

8 a.m. traditional. 9 a.m. contemporary. 10:45 a.m. contemporary. 10:45 a.m. "blended."

The Missouri Synod Lutheran Church does a terrible job of advertising. (Usually goes by LCMS.)

But it has conservative theology, with educated pastors, and tends to have smaller churches.

It is in most towns, and it can be useful to travel/move etc and still take communion/have fellowship, etc.

I cannot speak about the local LCMS church in BCS, but there appears to be the University Lutheran Chapel and Holy Cross Lutheran, fairly close.

As a 40yo who has been out of the college game for a while now, I could not think of a better characteristic in your search (other than solid doctrine) than a healthy middle aged and older population. Not that a college ministry is bad, but our youth need to be around the older generation more than ever. Plenty of Bible narrative regarding the youth being influenced by youth and it turns out poorly.
