Anywhere I can grab one around Houston? I know they are new and seem to be sold out everywhere.. Apologies if this has already been addressed on the boards, i did try to search and didn't see anything!

Last time I was in the Academy in Galveston they had them. Bit of a drive but if you needed one they might have them.

Per Academy's website, none of them in Houston have the Gen 6 including Galveston. I then checked around Austin where I'm at and most stores do have them in stock. You could try calling your closest Academy and see if they could ship one from Austin.

I have a friend who is an FFL I can ask if you don't find something - I get most of my guns through him. He will have to order it from a vendor and bring it in I'm sure.

I've never found the inventory status on the Academy website to be particularly accurate. I'd call or stop by before depending on it.

This. My son worked at the Academy in Galveson before he shipped off to the Navy. What they have in stock and whats on line do not always match up.

Sometimes you can order guns through Academy's website and have it sent to your closest Academy. Not available for all items or guns, but is available sometimes. Worth a look.
