How long do you want to ignore this user?
We have an Alaska land and sea trip planned this summer. Last time we went we saw lots of wildlife but some was far away and the camera on the phone didn't fo a good job. That was 8 years ago and phone camera have improved but not where I think I can get good landscape and animal pictures.

I did some looking at it seems like the Nikon cool pix P950 is a good option for lots of zoom but can also handle closes up as well. It is a little big but seems like you could still carry it easily on an excursion.

Anyone have a camera recommendation? It needs to be pretty easy to use as we aren't savvy on manual camera settings.

I'm sure you will get some good input here, but you might also try the Nerdery board. If I'm not mistaken, there was a full thread a while back about this very topic.

Good luck and please share your pictures when you get back.

Thanks I will go check it out. I try to limit number of boards I get sucked into so never went there.
