I own a trucking company. Lately there has been a rash of 18 wheelers being stolen around the industry, mainly from drivers leaving keys in the truck and it running at the fuel island and going into the truck stop. We have an electronic logging device that we can see where our trucks are in real time, but thieves know how to disable them. So I'm looking for some additional GPS trackers I can hide on the trucks. Plus we have some owner operators that we lease their trucks on to our company that use trailers that we own, I'm going to put a hidden tracker on the trailers so we can attempt to recover if they go missing.
Curious to know if anyone has experience with any of the GPS trackers on the market and suggestions. We can buy them through our ELD provider, which we are, but wanting to add secondary trackers not related to that system.
