Camp Swift between Elgin and Bastrop was always rumored to have giant white tail for Central Texas. Several people, mostly national guard soldiers were caught poaching there.

Camp Bullis was the best deer lease out there but the military and their game wardens have made it a complete pain in the ass to encourage hunting.

People used to bring their RVs and camp out the night before, rifle hunt in their own blind so long as they remove their feeders at the end of the season.

Now it's no camping, no baiting, archery only, temp blinds, and cannot claim a designated hunting area that is yours all season. All that acreage down the ****ter.
