Zamberlan Leopard GTX
I have these and was wearing them on my elk hunt in Unit 34 New Mexico and they were great. They're super comfortable.

Noninsulated. You will be moving on a hiking hunt. Insulation with make you sweat. That sweat will freeze or get cold making you miserable.
Now if you aren't hiking and sitting or riding a horse, then insulation might be worth while.
I have both insulated and non -insulated Kenetreks. Non-insulated is fine as long as I am active down to like 30 degrees and have good wool socks. The insulated 1500-1800 gram (can't remember which) Kenetreks I have are freaking toasty. Great for really cold days in a deer blind or sub 20degrees and not a lot of movement. I bought them for 4th rifle elk and they worked great but not sure which I would choose if I'm hiking 5-10miles a day or more⦠it's easy to get sweaty feet in the insulated ones.Texaspainter said:
