Just wanted to drop a note about how happy I am with it. I am not a connoisseur of rifle optics. My nicest scopes are no better than VX3 HD. I buy them used, I don't pay much for them, and they suit my purposes. I've never had any issue.

But I do have an older VXII that gave me an issue with the adjustment ring. It nearly required pliers to turn.

I sent it off, they said "Yeah, no problem, we can likely fix that and if not we'll give you a new one". They got the scope and said it would be 8 weeks. My original scope came back yesterday fixed and ready to mount.

This is the kind of warranty service I like. No hassle. No problem. Anyway, I'm really happy with the scopes and the support, especially since I am not the original owner. So, if anyone is on the fence about that, send it in, they will hook you up and one day when I get teh balls to drop some real money on a scope, they will probably be on the top of my list. I am sure higher end optics provide similar support but I don't own Zeiss or Swarovski so I can't say.

Good to hear. Hope they fixed it.
They kept my VX3 for three months and when I got it back it was not fixed. I don't really know if they actually did anything to it.
I called them and a customer service guy argued with me but eventually said to send it back.
I did. Another 8 weeks. They sent it back and this time it was right.

I had a Leupold rangefinder for a couple of years until the display faded out. I tried new batteries and anything else I could think of. Finally called them up and they basically said yeah they do that. We don't fix them but we can sell you a new one for 10% off MSRP which was about the going rate in retail stores.

Based on that experience, I'll pass on doing anymore business with them but I'm glad you had good luck.

Wow, I had the 1000 yard rangefinders that my lab ate the eye piece off of when she was a puppy. Called them told them it wasn't faulty, I just wanted to get it fixed and happy to pay on my own dime. They told me to send it in and they would have a look. They sent me a brand new pair of 1400 yard ones back to me for free…

I've also had about 4-5 scope covers and 2-3 nipples on throw levers replaced by them for absolutely no charge. I've had nothing but good experience with their customer service, however, I haven't really had a truly faulty product either - part of the reason why I keep going back to the brand.

I had a 40 year old VX2 that got really foggy looking. I sent it in and they sent me back a brand new VX3. I also had a pair of Wind River binoculars they manufactured at one time. The locking eye piece failed and became really annoying. I sent them in and they sent me a brand new pair of whatever they new HD versions are called. I have been very impressed with their service.

Their warranty on rangefinders is not rock solid like scopes. Vortex rangefinders hold a comparable warranty as Leupold scopes. Just an FYI that I noticed when buying.

I own 5 or 6 Leupold scopes, one Leupold binoculars, and one Vortex rangefinder.

My RCII range finder from 2006 stopped working a month ago. I called Leupold, knowing it was out of warranty, to inquire about repair. Being electronic, they have a 5 year warranty and arent repairable due to the build. Hard to be disappointed with 20 years of use. Warranty rep offered last years model for 30% of cost which i thought was admirable.
