Any catch the high speed chase today?

I can find no news about it, but we were almost involved!

We were going northbound on the access road just north of WDF next to the Chickfilet that is being reno'd headed to Costco. I heard sirens and started to look around to see where they were coming from about that time a black sedan flew past me on the left and began to weave in and out of traffic on access road. 2 cop cars passed me shortly after on the left and a trooper who was on the highway flew by. The car continued to weave then went through the grass and got back on the highway and went over the overpass at Barron road and we couldn't see anymore.

Never heard what became of this or any story yet…

CSPD tweeted about the road closure to collect evidence.

I was pulling in to the parking lot in front of Jersey Mike's at lunch when two unmarked vehicles, with their lights and sirens on, blew past me, turned into the parking lot, and headed in the direction of the water tower. When leaving Jersey Mike's, the feeder road was backed up with plenty of flashing lights near the RP intersection.

I came up on the wreck at Ponderosa and Longmire not long after it happened. I'd heard sirens, but that's not really odd living in that part of SWV so I didn't think anything of it. Turned off of our street and there were several CSPD motorcycles, a trooper and the sheriff's department all parked while someone filmed the scene. It was so out of place I actually thought it might have been a staged for a second.

I also got caught in the Rock Prairie traffic, made worse by a disabled vehicle at the intersection of RP and the feeder road. I think I must have sat at that light for ten minutes.

I was heading to close to campus from that same direction as OP on WDF about 11:40AM and there was a local cop car/SUV camping in the middle lane with his lights on right in front of the med clinic next to chikfila.

Was curious what was happening

He was arrested. He was previously sentenced to ten years in prison for two counts of evading arrest in a vehicle and one count of aggravated assault on a public servant. He also has warrants from Robertson County for engaging in organized criminal activity, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery. He's facing 15 to 99 years or life

99 to life...reminds me of a Social Distortion song.

"Online jail records show this the 19th time Dowling has been booked in the Brazos County jail since August of 1999."

And that's just Brazos County.

19 arrests in 24 years.

Imagine getting arrested almost once a year.

Years ago when I worked at Britt Rice Electric (2000-ish) he worked under me. I remember him as a funny hard working kid. Sad to see what he has become, hopefully he'll find a way to pick himself up and right the ship.

He's also previously been to federal prison for conspiracy to distribute meth, so he's facing 25 to 99 years or life for his current charges.

Hopefully it's in prison and he figures it out over the course of a couple of decades.

How do they let this guy bond out.

Even though he was allowed to bond out, he'll get a lengthy prison sentence, since he's charged with evading arrest in a vehicle, tampering with evidence, meth possession, engaging in organized criminal activity, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery, and he's previously been to prison twice.

He was rearrested two days ago for violating his bond conditions. He's been in jail since.

Gotta wonder who would be willing to front the $10400 for the bond.
lethalninja

One of his charges is for meth possession (between four and two hundred grams) and he's previously been to federal prison for conspiracy to distribute meth, so it's probably drug money.

There shouldn't be bond for people that break bond conditions. They should sit in jail until trial.

He pled guilty to his Brazos County charges on Friday and got eighteen years. I'll post again when I find out what happened with his Robertson County charges.
