All the businesses in Culpepper Plaza in the 90's - Bennigans, Swensens, Panchos, Hastings, the salad bar place where Napa Flats is now, the grocery store on the end, and the multiple restaurants on the other end.
Those were the Varsity Cheerleaders at BHS my Sophomore year in HS. That picture makes their uniforms look purple instead of blue. Great picture though!mgj.23 said:

Any chance that you have a picture of the old Academy? There was a barber shop next door as well. It was in the center on the corner of Texas and George Bush.
That was my barber shop for years. You had Leonard, Dan, John and a couple others whose names I don't recall. I remember trying to convince them come with us down to South Padre for spring break.regularjoe said:

There was a used books store in the old post office that was on the side closest to George Bush drive. This was the very late 90s and maybe early 2000s.BlueMiles said:
You're correct about Jason's. I am not certain about the bookstore.

Wasn't there a used bookstore on the end closest to George Bush?
IIRC, Jasons Deli was located initially on the north end of the shopping center then moved to the south end.
No, the strip center faced Texas Avenue South. The Post Office faced Jersey Street, but the address was Texas Avenue South.BlueMiles said:
Thanks.
I guess we should really be talking about "Jersey" street, shouldn't we.
