So I'm stocking a kitchen for a recently purchased investment / rental property. Inbound Amazon packages with glasses, plates, cookware, etc. Nothing crazy, no box over 25lbs or so. Supposed to be delivered today and this morning I get notified of a delivery exception that "item won't fit in mailbox" (single family home that packages get left at front door all the time).
I hop in the truck, go over to that neighborhood and find the USPS driver. Ask about it "oh yeah, they were too heavy so I just marked it that way. Don't worry you can pick up your packages at the CS post office in a couple of days".
No reason to get upset, clearly they are trained to do so and it's a systemic problem. "But that's not what I paid for. Can I just have my packages now?". They get them out of the truck and hand them to me without checking ID or anything and shockingly was able to lift them.
You can't make this stuff up.
