Are they flying around or do I hear traffic from Hwy 6?

Confirmed, while outside, the four flew over Mission Ranch, Quail Run Estates and Kyle Field Friday afternoon ... as well as far off.
Gotta draw since me got no grammar

They've been flying circles over my house for the past 45 minutes and I can't see anything through the clouds. So frustrating.

Looks like it's a lot clearer in town (watching Gameday) so it should be awesome from the stadium!

Why didn't all 4 jets participate in the flyover?

I heard they were spare planes in case they had problems.

Thanks. I don't remember flyovers that have come in with backups. Maybe the other crews really wanted to see the game in person?

If they had four working planes and four pilots, I'm not sure why they didn't use them all?

But what do I know.

It's weird.

Agreed. But must be some sort of policy thing. I know one thing - if there were 4 pilots with aircraft that function and they could - they would burn 4 hours of fuel and fly 4 planes over instead of 2. That's a certainty.

And yet they flew all of them from another location to CLL and did flyover practice with all four.

How much fuel do you think a C-17 burns to pass over Olsen for a baseball game?

Kinda making my point. It's a policy thing not a fuel thing. Which makes sense from a fuel side perspective Jet fuel cheap relatively now and we can afford to refine and use it to have high operational readiness. Not flying 4 isn't a fuel bill issue.

They almost certainly had a ground liaison which would have been one of the 4 pilots. That instantly drops you to 3.

I think the original intent was 2 planes both piloted by Aggies. Then they had 2 more pilots that had training hours that must be flown in December so they joined them for the trip to BCS and they could attend the game.

That left the 2 planes parked on the tarmac during the game and it caused a mini uproar. It is common to have personnel here for flyovers that do NOT fly.

I would have watched the planes if they let me sit in the cockpit and play with the gizmos.
