My fiance has an old wall clock, the kind you have to wind regularly. It's a lovely piece and I'd really love to get it working again for her.

Can ya'll recommend anyone local who works on that type of clock?

Might try abbeyclock.com. Dude works out of his house in Emerald Forest. Some find him OK, but I found him a little odd and sort of arrogant. He prefers to work on "finer" and antique clocks and won't make house calls.

You might call Bud Sparks at Antique Attic in Bryan and ask him. He has bought and sold grandfather and grandmother clocks over the past few decades. His son Jeff restores antiques and may also have a lead for you.
