I'll add what looks like a perfectly good sign driving into the landfill. I'd be curious to know what that cost us when it was built.

My guess it is a bus signal to allows them to go first before the light turns green for everyone else.

I'm wondering if it will let visiting busses know that they can park ahead on that street. You see busses parked on New Main more than other places on campus.

Ugg! Would like to know how old that sign is and how much it cost. Unless the other side got hit by a car and we cant see it, that' a waste of taxpayer dollars!

It is part TTI Smart intersectio test program that is being funded with money from the Department of Transportation. https://www.kagstv.com/article/news/local/texas-a-m-u/the-texas-am-transportation-institute-is-developing-next-generation-intersections/499-04c15add-97f2-4f55-a1eb-df0b3ec21be6

That would make for one massive headstone.

Had they sold it for a headstone it would be a better use of the funds than sticking it into the landfill.

Did they even attempt to sell it to another town or maybe a subdivision or put it at the entrance to a grave yard or see if Texas A&M wanted it? Technically it would be an asset of the city.
