The story is that Brazos county was dry and Burlson county was wet. People (cadets) would come to the bridge to buy whiskey, beer etc...

Could be FM60 bridge was opened in 1967 and Brazo's went wet in 1971. Why not both?
Koppe bridge is another candidate, although it was torn down before 1971 (I believe).
